Gold Everything

Happy Friday Friends! I have a lot planned for this weekend. Errands, cooking, cleaning, photographing, editing, you know the usual! :) Yesterday I shared with you my fall styled living room and entryway, so today I wanted to show you my table that underwent a gold transformation.

You see I love dark wood tones and I have not been brave enough to paint any of my pieces a fresh new color, so this little table transformation is a way for me to ease into something new. I am treading new waters here!

I need to back up a little and show you the before of my little side table. I've had this table for a few years now. I got it from Target, on sale for $16! It has moved around my house several times but has been in the living room for over a year now. When I saw this transformation of the exact same table earlier this year, I knew I had to update mine.

The Before

All I used to transform this table into the golden beauty she is was a small amount of Rub 'n Buff in antique gold. You can find a tube in any craft store. I don't have any pictures of the process. I did remove the top and sanded it down a bit to knock off the shine.

The Golden After

 I love how it turned out and it adds a bit of glam to my living room! This easy, little project took me out of my comfort zone and in a good way. What do you think?
