ONE | PUMPKIN PATCH
Visiting a farm that grows pumpkins is a great way to spend any fall afternoon. Enjoy a hayride and pick pumpkins. Many pumpkin patches now are full of activities like mazes, zip lines, parks, farm animals, and delicious food.

TWO | CARVE PUMPKINS
Kids love to carve pumpkins. Oh the faces they make when they pull the first fist full of pumpkin guts up. The decision of what their pumpkin will look like; scary, cute, a bat or goblin, maybe a skeleton, or a worty witch. They will have a blast and their creations look amazing on the front porch. Just don't forget to roast all those seeds!

THREE | HALLOWEEN MOVIE NIGHT
Make a pallet on the floor, pop some popcorn, put on a spooky movie and you are have a halloween movie night. You can jazz it up by serving sweet treats and soda in pumpkin decorated glasses. Click the link for a list of family friendly halloween movies.

FOUR | BONFIRE WITH SMORES
On a cool evening instead of staying indoors head outside. Start a fire in your outdoor fireplace or pit, roast a few marshmallows, make smores, and for fun tell a spooky story. It was a dark and stormy night!

FIVE | HIKING
Lace up your sneakers or boots and hit the trail. It's a fun way to sneak in a workout and get some good ole fresh air. You will be surrounded by a canopy of trees and sounds and tons of things to talk about and explore.

EIGHT | CAMPING
Pitching a tent and sleeping outside isn't for everyone but what about backyard camping. You can teach the kids how to make a fire, put up their tent, and roast a hotdog all from the comforts of home. A easy way to ease into the whole idea of camping. Like a 101 course!

NINE | APPLE PICKING
Apples and Fall! What can I say?! Plan a day trip to a local orchard. Bring a paring knife for apple tasting and pick your favorite apples to bring home.

An always fun thing to do during fall is to decorate. You can spruce up the front porch or door just in time for halloween. Create and decorate a fun and unique costume.

Spending time with your loved ones is the focus of these activities. They don't have to be extravagant but only spent together. I hope you try a few or all these activities with your family this fall!
