Hello Sunshine! I'm back! This fall I will be participating in the One Room Challenge as a guest participant. Every Thursday for the next six weeks come back here for room updates.
The one room challenge is a biannual event every April and October. With each round, twenty selected design influencers take on this challenge, as Featured Designers, and transform a space. Over the allotted six weeks, the designers take readers along by documenting their process and progress all while sharing sources and advice. All this happens on Wednesdays.
On Thursdays, anyone who is up for a good ole personal challenge can join in the design fun and participate as a guest. This is were I come in. I will be documenting my progress on the blog with video and sneak peaks over on my Instagram Stories.
We decided to tackle our master bedroom. This is one room that we have done nothing to since moving in our home 13 years ago. The furniture went in and I hung a few pictures and art and that was that. So for these next 6 weeks we will be showing our master bedroom the love it deserves. I'm not over the top with anything I do but it will for sure be a great transformation.
There is no way around the fact that we will be conducting this makeover in the mist of a pandemic that is rocking our country and the world. Everything I do during this makeover will have that in mind. I will be doing all shopping online and taking precautions. I plan on reusing a lot of what's currently in my room now. My main focus for our master bedroom is to be intentional and mindful with what we have and what we are bringing new into the space.
Next Week
I'll be back next week with our original design plans for the room. Some things have changed since then but the over all look will remain the same. I will explain our style, room inspiration, and the art piece that is the center of our design.
Week One Do This List
